INDEPEN-DANCE specialises in dance performance projects, predominately
for adults with learning disabilities and their carers.
We believe that everyone should be able to participate in theatre
and arts.
We provide an environment which is safe and appropriate for the
needs of the dancers to perform in, whilst retaining each individuals
dignity and integrity.
We have developed a
portfolio of original performance work as well as providing training
opportunities for carers, social work staff and community dancers
throughout the year.
We also offer performances for conference's, exhibitions and dance
platforms plus work experience and student placements and are
currently running a mentoring scheme for people interested in
using dance with people with disabilities.
Indepen-dance have a
great opportunity to go to London and perform at the Lyric Hammermith
theatre.. Unfortunately we don't have the full required funding,
and this is why Indepen-dance will be doing several fundraising
events leading up to the trip away in July. Any help, funding
